It is with deep sadness that the family of David William Flood shares the news of his unexpected passing on November 4, 2025, at the age of 76.

David will be fondly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Glenna; his children, Jason (Sarah), Shanda (Jon), and Adam (Dawn); his grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Zachary, Keenan, Nicholas, Karter, and Willow; his siblings, Gwen, Robyn, and Mark; along with many other family members and friends.

Born in London, Ontario, David led a busy life from an early age. He took on jobs at a bowling alley and various golf courses during high school. In 1967, he began dating Glenna after they crossed paths at a party where he felt an instant connection. They tied the knot in 1971 and welcomed their three children while he worked at Donn Canada. In 1982, he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba for work which marked the start of a new chapter for the family. There he went on to launch his own businesses alongside his wife-The Ceiling Store and Floor Every-before eventually retiring from Rona.

In his younger days, David had a passion for fishing and golfing. He played guitar in a band and held a pilot’s license for small planes. He enjoyed cruising in sports cars or riding his motorcycle and served as a medic in the reserves. A huge sports fan himself-especially baseball, football, and hockey-he loved traveling with Glenna as they embarked on countless adventures together. Later in life when faced with multiple sclerosis challenges he remained resilient; his determination helped him overcome many obstacles without slowing down too much. He had a knack for making others laugh and was always ready to lend a hand fixing things up for his kids or grandkids. Family meant everything to him; spending time with them brought him immense joy-especially moments shared with his grandkids.

Cremation has taken place and plans for a celebration of life will be announced later. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada or STARS Ambulance.

“Grief is the price we pay for love,” and he will always be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
