David Herbert Cordoni passed away on June 14, 2026, while resting peacefully at Bethammi Nursing Home at the age of 71. He was born on June 20, 1954, in Port Arthur, Ontario to Herbert and Joanne (nee Martin).

During his younger days, David went to Twin Haven School and later found work at Arc Industries and the Salvation Army. Work meant a lot to David; he often arrived two hours early just to be there. He had a kind and gentle nature, always ready to lend a hand. David enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like listening to music, dancing, biking for miles, swimming, and bowling. His talent for bowling earned him several trophies. Socializing was also a big part of his life; one of his favorite pastimes was watching people while he enjoyed a cigarette outdoors.

David is survived by his two daughters, Mary Anne and Suzanne Zuchan. Whenever they could share coffee or lunch at Mc Donald’s or celebrate birthdays together, David’s face would light up with joy being around his girls. As the eldest sibling, he is survived by Lawrence Cordoni (Linda), Bobbi-Lynne Matkowski (Terry), Mary-Jo Strey (Rod), Paul Lapierre (Leslie), Suzanne Mc Mahon (Jack), and Timothy Jardine. He also leaves behind his dear Aunt Bobbi Greschuk along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews both near and far as well as several cousins. Sadly, he was predeceased by his brother Graham, parents and all grandparents along with his nephew Robert Matkowski.

A graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery Section 38 Lot 232 on June 26th at 1:00 pm; everyone is welcome to join us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dew Drop Inn or Thunder Bay District Humane Society.

Life won’t be the same without you here, David. We love you and will miss you dearly bro. If you sensed our worry about you sometimes, you’d always reassure us by saying “I’ll Be Ok”.
