Bro Pierre Wooden, ofm, cap.
Brother Pierre was born within the Montreal space of Longueil, Quebec on November ninth, 1942 to Frank and Yvette Wooden (nee: Boulianne) He’s predeceased by his dad and mom and his sister Francine LeClair (BC) and survived by his sister Louise Renaud (ON).
Bro Pierre entered non secular life with the Capuchins of Central Canada, on August thirty first, 1962 and made his Solemn Career on September 1st, 1966. He was ordained to the Priesthood by G. Emmett Carter, then Bishop of the diocese of London, Ontario on September 12, 1970.
Residing within the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, our Brother ministered in lots of parishes starting with Holy Cross in Georgetown, Ontario and from there to St. Philip Neri in Toronto, Mary Queen of the World in Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, St. John de Brebeuf and St. Gerard Majella in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lastly, St. Mary’s Parish in Blenheim, Ontario. He retired from lively ministry in 2012.
As a consequence of declining well being, he was residing on the ‘Homes of Windfall’ Windfall Villa, Scarborough when he entered into God’s Everlasting Embrace on Wednesday January fifteenth, 2025.
Visitation might be held at Ward Funeral Residence, 2035 Weston Street, Toronto on Sunday January twelfth from 1:00pm till 4:00 pm.
Bro Pierre will then be escorted by his Capuchin Brother’s to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, within the City of Blenheim, Ontario for Vigil Prayers on Monday night, January thirteenth at 7:00pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Tuesday, January 14th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 11:00am adopted by interment prayers and committal at Evergreen Cemetery (Friars Part), Blenheim.
