Andrew James Munroe passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 40.
Andrew lived most of his life in Pickle Lake and Thunder Bay. As a young boy, he spent time in Red Lake, Ontario. He will be remembered for the love he showed to his family and friends, the moments he treasured with those closest to him, and the joy he found in cooking for others. His kindness, gentle spirit, sense of humor, laughter, and presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Andrew is survived by his loving mother, Sandra (nee Beardy), and father, Gregory; his brothers Derek (Marie), Gregory Jr., and Ashton Munroe; his dear grandmother Daisy Munroe; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. The family would like to extend special thanks to Danny and Anita Quisses and their family for all the love and support they provided during this time.
As a devoted father, Andrew’s greatest love was for his children. He was predeceased by Valarie, the mother of Lasandra (Tanner). He also lost Alvina with whom he had five children: Luke, Adriel, Gregory, Kerrigan, and David. Andrew is fondly remembered by Nikita as well; together they had three children: Hezekiah, Ophelia, and Jassiah.
He was predeceased by his brother Simon; his grandparents Absalom and Rhoda Beardy; along with his grandfather Henry Munroe.
Andrew’s memory will stay alive in the hearts of his family members and friends. May they find comfort in their cherished memories that will last forever.
Services will take place on Friday July 31, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Westfort Chapel. Interment is set for Saturday August 1, 2026 at 10:00am in Riverside Cemetery.
