A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by a bus in Oakville on January 7, 2026 (Duane Worth/CHCH News).

Halton police report that a 75-year-old female pedestrian has been hospitalized following a bus collision in Oakville.

In a post on X, officers stated they are currently investigating the incident involving a bus and a woman who was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say the accident happened around 10:55 a. m.

Mc Craney Street East between Trafalgar Road and Sewell Drive was closed while police conducted their investigation.

The roads have since reopened.

Officials confirmed that the woman hit by the bus has sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is still in the hospital.

Investigators found that she was crossing the street at the time of the accident.
