Tonight on Village Media’s ‘Nearer Look’: After months of debate, a Northern Ontario city is spending $10,000 to avoid wasting an iconic lumberjack statue from getting the axe

For numerous travellers alongside Freeway 11, “Man-Paul Treefall” has been a longtime landmark. However now in determined want of some fixing, the statue left the City of Iroquois Falls in a troublesome spot: Restore, relocate or change?

This week, native councillors decided: the well-known statue will probably be repaired and relocated, at an approximate price of $10,000.
