MINISTRY OF THE ENVIRONMENT, CONSERVATION AND PARKS

In recognition of Remembrance Week, Performing Atmosphere, Conservation and Parks Minister Todd McCarthy issued the next assertion:

“We’re immensely grateful for the courageous actions of Canadian women and men in uniform – each previous and current – who’ve fought to defend our nation and defend the values of freedom and democracy. In recognition of their service, Ontario is proud to supply veterans and energetic service members free weekday day-use entry to Ontario’s provincial parks all through the complete 12 months.

Veterans and energetic service members could reap the benefits of this program by presenting their legitimate Canadian Armed Forces identification card and proof of Ontario residency on the entrance of any provincial park. Free weekday entry additionally extends to family members accompanying a service member or veteran in the identical car.

With so many lovely provincial parks to discover – together with 1000’s of kilometres of trails – I hope this program will encourage all present and former service members to benefit from the nice outside and uncover every part our parks have to supply.

There are not any phrases to specific our profound gratitude to the Canadian Armed Forces members and their households who proceed to serve our nation in occasions of battle, battle and peace.
