Oakville Hearth Division is at present responding to an ongoing blaze at Bronte’s Generations Church of the Nazarene
Oakville Hearth Division responded to massive fireplace at a south Oakville church, which started late this morning, Jan. 6, 2025.
The blaze began at Generations Church of the Nazarene close to Bronte Village, at Bronte and Bridge Street. Crews arrived on the scene round 11:45 a.m. and started to work on placing out the continued fireplace.
One first responder on the scene mentioned there have been potential indicators of suspicious exercise, with posted indicators being graffitied and the very fact the church had caught fireplace after being offered.
A video posted to Fb by a close-by resident captured the second when firefighters arrived and started to place out the blaze (and could be seen on-line right here.)
Halton Police arrived and investigated the suspicious fireplace, and so they say one suspect has been arrested they consider is linked to their investigation.
Police closed off Bronte Street from Rebecca to Wyatt Road for about three hours after the primary studies of the hearth. The street was re-opened round 3 p.m.
Oakville Hearth spent roughly three hours making an attempt to extinguish the hearth.
