The Particular Investigations Unit has launched an investigation after an Ontario Provincial Police officer shot a person with an anti-riot weapon on Friday night time in Huron County.
Investigators say at round 3:30 p.m. officers had been known as to a residence in Seaforth in relation to a person in misery.
They are saying officers entered the residence and located the person and believed a knife was concerned.
One officer then fired an Anti-riot Weapon Enfield twice and the person was apprehended underneath the Psychological Well being Act.
Investigators say the 26-year-old man was taken to hospital however wasn’t significantly injured.
The SIU is asking for any info or footage that would assist with the investigation.
