MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Authorities are looking into a disturbing find made Saturday morning along a busy street in the Oakville region, according to police.
Memphis police dedicated over 8 hours to the investigation after skeletal human remains were uncovered in a wooded spot off Knight Arnold between Julius Lewis Drive and Getwell Road. The inquiry began around 8 a. m., when the remains were discovered, as stated by police.
MPD indicated that officers located the remains beyond a driveway concealed by trees and underbrush.
Detectives and crime scene analysts remained at the location throughout Saturday, gathering evidence and working to figure out what occurred.
“We received a suspicious call at this location around 8 this morning,” MPD Lt. Marcus Frierson said Saturday. “When we got here, we located skeletal remains.”
