Police examine theft from Oakville thrift retailer car parking zone

The sufferer’s jewelry valued over $5,000 was reportedly stolen by two suspects, police say

Halton Police are trying right into a theft that occurred from the car parking zone of an Oakville Worth Village earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at round 1:55 p.m, police say that two suspects in a darkish colored Sedan had been current on the car parking zone.

The motive force was reported to be a male, whereas the opposite suspect was reported as feminine. The 2 suspects approached two adults, one male and one feminine, on the lot.  

In accordance with police, the feminine suspect, who was reportedly seated on the rear seat of the Sedan, requested the feminine sufferer to strategy the automotive. The feminine suspect then confirmed the feminine sufferer jewelry. 

Police say that the feminine suspect eliminated bracelets from the feminine sufferer’s wrists, whereas the sufferer was trying on the suspect’s jewelry. Each the suspects then allegedly fled the realm with the Sedan. Police say that no accidents had been reported in the course of the theft and that the estimated worth of the bracelets had been over $5,000.

Police describe the feminine suspect as roughly 40-50 years previous, with gray hair. The feminine suspect was additionally reportedly carrying a black and white patterned coat. No description was supplied for the male driver.

The incident happened on the Worth Village at 2506 Hampshire Gate right here in Oakville.

This model of jewelry theft was additionally reported by Halton Police again in November 2024, after a string of comparable incidents occurred within the Oakville and throughout the area.
