TORONTO — Police allege an individual who reported that their canine had been stabbed by a person in a Toronto park on Tuesday was in actual fact accountable for hurting the animal.
Police initially stated the canine was on a stroll with its proprietor in Ramsden Park on Tuesday afternoon when the incident happened.
On the time, investigators stated they had been looking for a suspect described as a six-foot-tall man sporting a puffer jacket and surgical masks and carrying two knives.
Police now allege the one that made the grievance wounded the canine and gave a false assertion to officers, and is anticipated to face charges.
A police spokesperson says “the connection between the accused and the canine is a part of the investigation.”
Police say the canine had a number of wounds however is now in secure situation and is anticipated to get well.
