Police say one individual is lifeless and several other others injured after a multi-vehicle crash on Freeway 11 close to Orillia, Ont., in snowy climate Friday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Jacob Daynes says a 49-year-old man died within the crash and several other folks had been taken to hospital with numerous kinds of accidents.
Police say Freeway 11 will stay closed “for the foreseeable future” northbound from Coldwater Highway to Freeway 400 and southbound from County Highway 169 to Line 15.
OPP is urging drivers to keep away from the realm and provides house to emergency automobiles.
Surroundings Canada has issued a snow squall warning for Orillia and surrounding areas, saying lake impact snow may cause sudden adjustments in visibility on the roads.
The company says situations are anticipated to enhance Friday night.
