The Milton Menace had a mixed weekend.

On Friday, February 6th, the team hosted the Oakville Blades at the Milton Memorial Arena.

Nathan Catalano kicked things off by scoring in the first period. His 11th goal of the season was set up by Dean Deligeorgis and Jason Zhou. The Blades quickly responded with two goals to take a short-lived lead, but Milton managed to tie it up before the end of the period. Tristan Tremble netted his 17th goal of the season with help from Zhou and Sam Pye. The score was tied at 2-2 after one period.

In the second period, Catalano and Zhou combined to put the Menace ahead 4-2, a lead they maintained into intermission.

Even though Oakville scored just seconds before the final buzzer, Milton secured a 4-3 win.

Hayden Duncan started in goal for Milton but was replaced by Austin Mc Killop after stopping four of six shots for a.667% save percentage. Mc Killop faced 21 shots and made 20 saves, earning him a.952% save percentage and the victory.

A couple days later, the Menace traveled to King City to face off against the Rebellion.

King struck first on the scoreboard, but Milton quickly answered back within that same period. Ashtyn Pacheco scored his 25th goal of the season with assists from Josh Currie and Tristan Tremble. The game was even at 1-1 after one period.

Nathan Catalano continued his strong play in the second period by scoring his 13th goal of the year with assists from Pacheco and Ivan Fabjan. However, King then took control, scoring two unanswered goals to go up 3-2 heading into intermission.

An empty-net goal in the final frame sealed a tough loss for Milton at 4-2.

Austin Mc Killop played again in net, stopping only 18 of 21 shots he faced for an.857% save percentage resulting in a loss this time around.

Looking ahead, next for the Menace is an away game against Burlington Cougars on Friday, February 13th. Game time at Central Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p. m.

The team returns home on Sunday, February 15th when they host Toronto Patriots. That game starts at 6:00 p. m. at Milton Memorial Arena. You can buy tickets for any or all home games here.
