Police have arrested a suspect, who was reportedly on probation, following an alleged theft close to Oakville Place Mall.
Police have arrested a suspect, who was reportedly on probation, following an alleged theft close to Oakville Place Mall on Sunday.
On Aug. 18, officers responded to a report of a theft within the space of Leighland Avenue and Kent Avenue.
Mentioned Halton Police Media Relations Officer Ryan Anderson, the “feminine sufferer was strolling when approached by the suspect who requested for the time. When the sufferer pulled out her cellphone the suspect snatched it.”
It is alleged that when the sufferer tried to get her cellphone again, the suspect pushed and threatened her earlier than fleeing on foot.
Officers later situated the suspect and made an arrest.
A 29-year-old male of no mounted tackle has been charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime, obstructing a peace officer, and failure to adjust to probation.
