OTTAWA — Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc says it is not the Liberal authorities’s job to reply to the whole lot U.S. president-elect Donald Trump posts on-line.

LeBlanc made these feedback in response to a query about Trump repeatedly referring to Canada as a 51st state and Trudeau as its governor in social media posts.

LeBlanc as soon as once more says Trump is joking and that there was “cheerful banter” on the dinner between the prime minister and the president-elect at Mar-a-Lago final month.

LeBlanc attended that dinner together with Trudeau simply days after Trump threatened 25 per cent tariffs on items coming from Canada and Mexico, if the 2 international locations do not cease the move of unlawful medication and migrants coming into the U.S.
