What dog doesn’t love a tasty treat?

This Halloween, let’s include the whole family, even your furry friend! Downtown Oakville is back with plenty of spooky fun for your pets.

The Downtown Oakville Business Improvement Association (BIA) is putting on its annual Tails and Treats event on Saturday, October 24, 2024, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m., at Towne Square.

This year’s event is set to be “bigger and better” with various activities lined up for our furry pals and their humans.

Tails and Treats also supports a wonderful cause, as proceeds will go to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society.

“Whether you’re a pet parent, dog lover, or just someone who enjoys supporting local initiatives, Tails and Treats has something fun for everyone,” said the Downtown Oakville BIA.

<p. Returning this year is the popular dog costume contest!

“Let your pups show off their best looks in our ultimate Costume Contest,” said the Downtown BIA. They also mentioned that all $10 entry fees will benefit the Oakville & Milton Humane Society.

The top three contestants in the costume contest will win Downtown Oakville Gift Cards worth up to $250. Plus, every participating dog gets a prize just for joining in!

The official sponsor, Rosehaven Homes, will be judging this exciting contest.

<p. Given the increasing number of entries each year, participants are encouraged to pre-register their dogs for the contest.
