Ontario Provincial Police say they count on to reopen Freeway 11 north of Toronto this afternoon after important snowfall within the space over the weekend.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says crews are nonetheless working to clear the snow they usually hope to reopen the northbound lanes of the freeway round midday and the southbound lanes later within the afternoon.

He says there might be restricted entry to the freeway and never each entrance and exit might be reopened as snow plowing continues.

The freeway has been closed between Orillia, Ont., and Huntsville, Ont., as greater than a metre of snow amassed within the space.

Intense snow squalls at the moment are transferring throughout elements of southwestern Ontario, forcing the Thames Valley District College Board within the London, Ont., area to shut 5 colleges after faculty bus service was cancelled.

Setting Canada has issued a snow squall warning for areas together with London, Middlesex, Oxford County, Lambton County, and Huron-Perth, with as much as 60 centimetres of snow anticipated in some areas.
