Four men who are in Canada on student visas have been charged for their involvement in a series of vehicle break-ins in Oakville.

Halton Regional Police reported that on the morning of Nov. 24, officers started looking into several car break-ins around the Rosehill Drive and Shady Glen Road area.

The police noted that numerous vehicles were broken into overnight, and three suspects were seen driving a white Honda Civic sedan during the events.

According to authorities, those involved shattered windows to access items from up to 25 cars, taking various belongings including cash, debit cards, and credit cards.

The stolen debit and credit cards were used at different stores throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), police added.

In the early hours of this past Sunday, officers responded to a report of a vehicle break-in on Meadow Marsh Crescent.

Police mentioned that a white Honda Civic sedan was spotted leaving the scene and was later stopped by officers.

Gurparkar Singh, 19, Akshdeep Singh, 20, Kanavpreet Singh, 20, and Dilpreet Singh, 21, all from Brampton, face charges of mischief under $5,000.

Authorities stated that three of the suspects also face charges related to mischief, theft, and fraud linked to the Nov. 24 incident.

All four accused are currently held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing.

The charges have yet to be proven in court.

If anyone has information regarding this investigation, they are asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
