Police have arrested an Oakville man for the alleged sexual assault of two young girls over the past five years.
Halton Regional Police Service began their investigation in October after receiving reports that two female youths had been sexually assaulted by a man from Oakville.
Authorities say the incidents took place at the suspect’s residence in Oakville between 2020 and 2025.
On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Oakville and reported seizing “numerous items.”
A 46-year-old man was taken into custody and faces several charges.
Halton police have charged Calogero “Carlo” Triassi, 46, of Oakville with three counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference, along with two counts of invitation to sexual touching. He also faces one count each for making child sexual abuse and exploitation material, as well as possessing such material.
The accused is being held pending a bail hearing in Milton.
