29-year-old man faces extra charges in Freeway 401 shootings, violent carjacking

A person whose alleged violent carjackings final month spanned the Higher Toronto Space and included firing photographs at passing automobiles on Freeway 401 has been charged by Ontario Provincial Police.

A person whose alleged violent carjackings final month spanned the Higher Toronto Space and included firing photographs at passing automobiles on Freeway 401 has been charged by Ontario Provincial Police.

OPP say a 29-year-old man who was beforehand charged by Toronto police is going through extra charges of tried homicide, armed theft and possession of prohibited firearms.

OPP say officers had been referred to as early on Nov. 26 to Freeway 401 in Mississauga for stories that an armed man who shot at greater than 10 passing automobiles had fled the realm in a stolen car.

The subsequent night, Toronto police had been referred to as to stories of a violent carjacking close to Dundas and River Streets.

Police allege an armed man strolling within the street shot at two autos, injuring one of many drivers, and unsuccessfully tried to open the doorways of a number of others earlier than he fled in a stolen car.

Toronto police say the person was later arrested in a car parking zone, and he now faces some 18 charges, together with 4 counts of tried homicide and 6 counts of armed theft.
