A stunning waterfront home broke a price record in Mississauga.
The massive, seven-bedroom home on Lake Ontario at 928 Lynnrod Court sold in late fall of 2024, said listing agent Philip Rouse with The Papousek Team. Rouse and co-listing agent Peter Papousek sold the property off-market.
The sale set a new record for the highest price for a Lake Ontario property in Mississauga’s history, Rouse said.
Rouse told INsauga.com that they can’t disclose the sale price but the list price was $19,999,850.
The sale comes shortly after the Saint George mansion on Doulton Drive went for $17 million setting a record for the most expensive house sold in the city.
The two homes a part of a luxury market highlighted in a new Re/Max report. The report found a $3-million boost in luxury property sales in the last three months of 2024, marking a 40 per cent increase compared to 2023.

The Lynnrod Court home, in Lorne Park, is a “extremely rare” property in the GTA, said Rouse. Set on approximately 1.2 acres, the property has nearly 300 feet of lake frontage.
“The most special part about this property is the land, and not only the amount of land, obviously being on the waterfront, but the shape of the land and the privacy it gives,” said Rouse.
The shape is such that when the homeowners go out to the waterfront, they cannot see their neighbours.
“When you look out from the tip of the waterfront line in your periphery, you don’t see your neighbours, all you see is water and that’s something a little bit rare.”

It’s tucked into a bay and has amazing views of sunrises.
“You can’t find this land anywhere,” said Rouse. “This is arguably the nicest waterfront piece of land, parcel of residential property in all of the Golden Horseshoe on Lake Ontario.”

Online real estate records show this property sold in 2014 for $4,950,000. It took about eight years to demolish the previous home, plan and get permits for the new building, said Rouse. The new house was complete in 2023.
The two-storey home has many luxury features including an indoor pool and a home theatre.

The 13,168 square feet of living space boasts five above-grade bedrooms plus two more bedrooms in the basement, and 12 bathrooms. There are two primary-sized bedrooms upstairs.

Main floor rooms include formal living and dining rooms, and a family room with wall-to-wall sliding doors leading to the large terrace. The large kitchen features premium appliances and porcelain countertops.

In addition to the theatre and indoor pool, the basement has a bar and wine cellar.

Finding a buyer for this type of property isn’t easy, particularly because it was listed off-market, meaning it wasn’t listed on public real estate sites.
Rouse said The Papousek Team has extensive experience in the luxury home market and with off-market deals. On this home, they worked with a company called Property Influencers who created a 20-minute video, which got well over 40,000 views on social media.
The buyer came across the video and was very drawn to the property, said Rouse.
The home was on the market for approximately 13 months.
Rouse said the sale is a reminder of the spectacular properties in Mississauga’s luxury market. Many people hear of huge homes in exclusive neighbourhoods such as Rosedale, Mount Pleasant, the Bridle Path or southeast Oakville but not as much in Mississauga, said Rouse.
“I think this is a testament to how amazing Mississauga is, and how amazing it can be,” Rouse said.
