A teen boy has been arrested after a Mississauga house was set on hearth and a canine injured on Thursday, Peel Regional Police say.

Police mentioned they had been known as to a house on Atwater Avenue, close to Lakeshore Highway E. and Hurontario Road, for studies of a residential hearth at about 11:40 a.m.

The home was deliberately set on hearth, Const. Tyler Bell informed reporters close to the scene, however nobody was injured within the blaze. He mentioned no one however the teen and the canine seemed to be house on the time.

The teenager was arrested close by, he mentioned.

Police mentioned the injured canine was taken to an area animal hospital. Bell mentioned a caller informed police the canine was stabbed on the doorway, however he could not verify that.

The teenager who was arrested is believed to be answerable for each the home hearth and canine accidents, Bell mentioned.

There is not any phrase on charges but. 

“It isn’t thought of random at this level or an unknown suspect,” Bell mentioned. “The circumstances of this are unusual to say the least.”

Bell mentioned the hearth brought on substantial harm to the within of the home.

Mississauga Hearth and Emergency Providers mentioned the hearth has been extinguished and Ontario’s Workplace of the Hearth Marshal has been known as to analyze.

Police urged members of the general public to present the household privateness.
