The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are on the lookout for the driver who hit a woman after she fell from a moving vehicle on Highway 401 in Mississauga.

According to OPP, the incident took place around 5:45 a. m. in the eastbound collectors’ lanes near Dixie Road last Thursday.

The woman, 32 years old and from Ottawa, fell from a moving car and was subsequently struck by another vehicle.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt mentioned that they are still trying to find the driver responsible for hitting her.

“The driver may have not even known what they struck. We do not believe the driver had any knowledge of the incident but we want to speak with them to bring closure and to bring the investigation to a close,” said Schmidt.

The vehicle is described as a light-coloured sedan, possibly a Toyota or Nissan, that might have damage on the front driver’s side.
