MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — The provincial authorities is offering as much as $2.5 million for the development of Hospice Mississauga’s new 12-bed hospice centre, the town’s first hospice.
When full, the brand new hospice will present end-of-life care to individuals and households dwelling in Mississauga and Brampton. The hospice will assist these of all ages dwelling with a terminal sickness and their caregivers with companies together with palliative care and grief and bereavement packages, a launch reads.
The brand new centre will embody:
Suites in a home-like setting.
Companies similar to hospice counselling, social connections, specialised kids’s packages and a group palliative care clinic.
Round the clock staffing by nurses, physicians and private assist staff.
Extra space for hospice packages.
The 12 new hospice beds at Hospice Mississauga are a part of the 84 new grownup beds that have been included within the 2024 price range.
