Ontario police investigating stunt driving on Hwy. 401 in Mississauga

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says it’s investigating after a gaggle of drivers had been caught stunt driving alongside Freeway 401 in Mississauga.

On Sunday, a video submitted to 6ixbuzz confirmed a number of vehicles drifting and racing between lanes. Some drivers had been additionally seen with fireworks on the meet up as nicely.

In line with the OPP, there have been two incidents reported, the primary was shortly after 2 a.m. at Freeway 401 eastbound within the Mississauga  and Mavis roads  space and the second occurred round 3:20 a.m. at Islington Ave. within the eastbound lanes as nicely. 

“Both incidents are being investigated by OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) Crime Unit. To date, no charges have been laid but it is an active investigation,” OPP Sgt. Ted Dongelmans stated in an announcement to Now Toronto on Monday.

Police are advising witnesses to report these incidents instantly and to keep away from the realm.

I hope authorities take swift action to address this issue and ensure our roads are safe. It’s disappointing to see such reckless behavior that undermines the law and community safety,” one other consumer commented.
