Site Selection Magazine’s esteemed ranking highlights the City’s dedication to promoting Mississauga as a competitive, thriving, sustainable, and inclusive economic center.

Invest Mississauga, the City’s economic development division, has secured another place on Site Selection Magazine’s list of Canada’s top 20 economic development groups, demonstrating once again that Mississauga is where businesses and talent flourish. This accomplishment marks nine consecutive years of national acknowledgment for the City’s growth, innovation, and investment achievements.

Mississauga Excels as a Global Business Hub with Strong Economic Growth

Site Selection Magazine assesses regions and municipalities based on crucial economic metrics such as corporate investments frequency, capital expenditures, and job creation. This past year has seen Mississauga deliver impressive results that make the City proud.

Recent investments boosting the city’s growth include:

Aztra Zeneca, a global pharmaceutical and biotech company, is putting in $820 million in Mississauga, resulting in over 700 high-skilled jobs and relocating to a new office in the city. Electrovaya, a lithium-ion battery technology firm, is getting $2 million in federal support for upgrades at its facility in Mississauga. Roche Canada, a Swiss multinational healthcare corporation, announced an investment exceeding $130 million in collaboration with Invest Ontario and the Government of Ontario that will create up to 250 new highly skilled technical jobs. e-Zinc opened its new 42,000 sq. ft. pilot manufacturing facility in Mississauga focusing on zinc-based long-duration energy storage solutions. Synechron launched its new Delivery Centre in Mississauga to bolster its expansion across North America. Kyowa Kirin officially inaugurated its first Canadian office right here in Mississauga. Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. revealed plans for constructing a new GMP Biologics manufacturing plant in Mississauga aimed at producing monoclonal antibodies and protein therapies with backing from the Federal government of Canada. Zeb announced its entry into the North American market with a fresh office opening in Mississauga.
