A man has been arrested following two random, unprovoked attacks in Mississauga that resulted in one death and another injury.
Peel Regional Police informed that on Friday evening, officers responded to a report of a 58-year-old woman who had been violently attacked at a plaza located at 1310 Dundas St. E. She was found with serious injuries when police arrived and later succumbed to her wounds in the hospital.

“These incidents are very concerning to us as police and to our community,” a spokesperson said, as he explained both attacks were random, unprovoked assaults. “These types of events are not common.”
Police are urging anyone with information or who witnessed either attack to reach out to investigators.
The public is not currently at risk.
