A Mississauga man has been arrested after a number of Instagram movies exhibiting a mud bike rider driving in an “extremely dangerous manner” went viral, police say.
Officers from the Peel Regional Police Safer Roads Group (SRT) launched an investigation in September after first turning into conscious of the movies.
Police say that the movies confirmed a rider on a Surron dust bike “performing dangerous maneuvers such as wheelies.”
On Oct. 25, 2024, a 24-year-old resident of Mississauga was arrested in reference to the investigation.
The SRT officers apprehended the person with the assistance of the 22 Division Neighborhood Intervention and Response Group (CIRT) and Strategic Enforcement Officers, police say.
The accused, Kenny Thomas, is charged with 20 offences, together with 5 counts of stunt driving and two counts of flight from a peace officer.
Anybody with info relating to the incident is requested to contact the police.
