A carjacking that occurred on Highway 427 in Toronto might be linked to a crash that took place in Mississauga.
In the initial event, a white Audi and a grey BMW collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 427, nearing Highway 401 just after 6 p. m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, according to Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt in a press release.
Two men got out of the Audi and approached the driver of the BMW, Schmidt stated. There was some sort of physical confrontation before one man from the Audi drove away in the BMW, he explained. The other individual returned to the Audi and left the scene as well, he added.
Then, shortly after 8 p. m., that same BMW was involved in a minor collision with a grey Mazda while traveling eastbound on Highway 403 near Hurontario Street in Mississauga, he noted. Schmidt mentioned that the driver of the BMW did not stop and fled from that incident.
