A large new grocery store has been announced and will open soon in Mississauga.
The previous location of Highland Farms, a well-known grocery store in the city, is getting a significant makeover and will soon welcome shoppers eager to explore a wide variety of foods and groceries. The spacious building at 50 Matheson Blvd E, situated in the busy Eglinton and Hurontario area, has been taken over by JDass Corp, a Canadian family-owned business that started in 1986.
The site is currently being transformed into a full-scale supermarket that will offer an extensive selection of products designed for the city’s diverse multicultural communities.
This exciting new project will be JDass Corp’s second venture into the supermarket industry, following the launch of their Food World Supermarket in Toronto. The company also knows Mississauga well; one of their notable projects includes the Mississauga Convention Centre. Additionally, JDass Corp manages Dass Metal, Dass Rebar, Quick Scrap Metal, Shanty Bay Golf Club, The Play Scape, Skye Hotel & Residences, Meadowvale Apartment Hotel, and more.
The centrally located property covers 176,000 square feet across 13.88 acres and can be reached from five access points along various municipal roads. With nearly 700 feet of visibility along Hurontario Street, the supermarket will be easily accessible for thousands of residents living in this busy neighborhood. Designed with diversity and accessibility in mind, it’s expected to attract shoppers from all over the region-including locals, commuters, and multicultural families from nearby Brampton.
In addition to its prime location along the corridor linking Mississauga and Brampton, this store is close to highways and public transit. It’s also right on track with the upcoming Hurontario LRT line-a north-south train currently under development in one of Ontario’s fastest-growing regions.
Once it opens this spring, this supermarket is set to become one of the largest in Mississauga while proudly serving its vibrant community with an array of products tailored to different needs. The company also gives back through the JDass Charitable Trust which supports local initiatives and communities.
Not only will this store provide an excellent range of food and grocery items for customers but it’s also expected to make a significant impact on Mississauga’s economy through job creation and local partnerships.
JDass Corp is actively hiring for various positions at its Mississauga location as part of both operational growth plans and community employment opportunities. Interested candidates can apply by sending their applications to [email protected].
Based in Vaughan, JDass Corp is a proud Canadian investment firm with nearly four decades of experience across many sectors including food services, real estate management, metals manufacturing, construction services,, retail operations,, finance,, hospitality,, entertainment,, oil,, gas,, and fuel distribution.
