An 11-year-old lady is in hospital after she was struck by a transit bus in Mississauga on Thursday afternoon, police say.

Peel Regional Police acquired a name at 2:30 p.m. {that a} lady had been struck by a MiWay transit bus in entrance of Lisgar Center College, Const. Tyler Bell mentioned outdoors the varsity on Thursday.

The lady was taken to hospital in life-threatening situation, Bell mentioned. He mentioned her situation is now steady and he or she has been transferred to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Kids.

Bell mentioned it is too early within the investigation to offer a lot element on what occurred, however did say the bus was travelling southbound on Lisgar Drive across the time faculty was letting out when the lady crossed in entrance of it. Bell mentioned police imagine there was heavy visitors within the space on the time.
