This weekend, folks in and around Toronto can enjoy a variety of Asian dishes as a big street food festival comes to town.

The tastes from Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, and more will take the spotlight this weekend at Taste of Asia, one of the summer’s most awaited food festivals. It will be held at an intersection just outside Toronto for three whole days.

Although it’s technically in Markham, Toronto residents are just a short drive away from the festival at Kennedy and Steeles East since it’s right on the border of both cities.

With over 200,000 people expected to attend this weekend, it’s clear that Taste of Asia is among the season’s top food festivals for visitors. It also draws many excited local and international vendors eager to share their flavors.

This year, you’ll find tasty bites from vendors like Wu Ba Eats, Cong Caphe, Chicken Plus, and Bee’s Eats and Treats, to name a few. With more than 150 vendors offering food and other items this year, if those don’t make your mouth water, there’s bound to be something that will!

If you’re looking for that street food night market vibe, swing by on Saturday, June 28th when it’ll be open until 11 p. m., giving you plenty of time to enjoy some late-night snacks.

But there’s more than just delicious food; you’ll also get to experience exciting performances including live music, dance shows, and various forms of Asian art throughout the event. There will even be keynote discussions focusing on celebrating diversity and fighting against anti-Asian racism.

The festival will feature several vendors selling trinkets, clothing items, and decor as well so you can do some shopping – in between munching on tasty treats!

You might even spot Justin Trudeau enjoying a tanghulu again this year. Anything can happen at Taste of Asia!

Taste of Asia runs from June 27 to 29 in 2025. The hours are 5 p. m. to 11 p. m. (June 27), 11 a. m. to 11 p. m. (June 28), and from 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. (June 29) at Kennedy Avenue and Steeles Avenue E., in Markham.
