Weapons criticism closes each instructions of Freeway 401, residents informed to shelter in place

Each instructions of Freeway 401 have been closed on Sunday night as London police and OPP investigated a weapons criticism.

Round 4:40 p.m., OPP West Area posted the closure on social media, citing each instructions of the 401 have been closed between Highbury Avenue and Westchester Bourne for the investigation.

The London Police Service additionally put out a put up, notifying the general public that its drone was out within the space of Outdated Victoria Street and Freeway 401 for the incident.

As of 5:10 p.m., OPP confirmed each instructions of Freeway 401 had reopened.

Sources inform that residents within the space have been known as by way of telephone and informed to shelter in place. Police reportedly informed them there was an incident on the bridge.

London police confirmed with that it was a weapons criticism and so they have been known as to help. Officers have been capable of clear the realm and make sure there was no risk to public security.

The investigation continues to be ongoing. No person has been taken into custody at the moment.
