Voices Against Violence to hold nationwide rally Monday

Voices Against Violence to hold nationwide rally Monday

On October 21, 2024, a nationwide rally will happen to lift consciousness and advocate for the tip of violence towards girls and kids.


The rally is being organized by Voices Towards Violence, a nationwide coalition of advocates and non-profits.


“We will attempt to change how we see survivors and attempt to assist them and be sure that their voices are heard,” mentioned Voices Towards Violence board member Lucas Broadfoot, whose sister Breanna was a sufferer of femicide this previous summer time.


Breanna was stabbed to demise by her boyfriend inside a residence on Wellesley Crescent on July 16. Police confronted the suspect and shot him, he later died in hospital.


Lucas shall be among the many featured audio system on the rally on Monday.
