A 31-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Hanover man.
Willam Beckman of Hanover was charged after the body of 57-year=old Colin Campbell was found inside a home on 5th Street in Hanover early Tuesday morning.
Police say they were called to “an incident” at the home around 9 a.m. on Tuesday when they found Campbell’s body inside the home.
Beckman was arrested later Tuesday morning following a vehicle pursuit near Owen Sound.
Police are calling this murder, ‘an isolated incident’ but would not specify how the two men knew each other, or what led up to the homicide.
Beckman’s next court appearance is Jan. 15 at the Bruce County courthouse in Walkerton.
