Companies in rural elements of southwestern Ontario are getting some assist in boosting the tech facet of their enterprise. Lambton Kent Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault (PC) was joined by a number of space mayors to announce $115,900 funding by way of the Rural Financial Growth Program to launch the Rural GROW Accelerator.
The funding will permit firms to entry a 12-week coaching program by way of TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario to learn to finest use new applied sciences to their benefit.
“From marketing, to sales, to intellectual property, accounting. Entrepreneurs need to be able to wear all of those hats and be successful with that. So, this type of program is going to be so valuable to those entrepreneurs because it will give them the coaching and mentorship from people that are known experts in those areas,” defined Kim Parker of TechAlliance.
In keeping with the Ministry of Rural Affairs, since 2019 the RED Program has dedicated greater than $27.4 million to fund 473 tasks to spice up financial growth in rural communities.
