A 41-year-old man from London has been charged with second-degree murder after a woman died at a home on Chelton Road.
According to the London Police Service, officers arrived at the residence around 6:25 p. m. on Tuesday, September 15, and found an adult woman with severe injuries. Paramedics took her to the hospital, but she later passed away.
The police arrested a man at the scene and reported that both the victim and the accused were acquainted and had been in a relationship.
Other family members were present in the home during the incident. Fortunately, none of them sustained injuries.
The LPS Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation. For some time, Chelton Road was closed in both directions while officers conducted their inquiries.
Mandeep Singh, 41, who lives in London, has been charged with second-degree murder. He is currently in custody and was due to appear in court today.
