Police charged two extra individuals in connection to the loss of life of a Kitchener man in 2019.
The Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged Mathew Drumond, 38, of London, Ont. and Jessica Martin, 35, of North Perth with a number of offences together with first-degree homicide and kidnapping.
Drumond faces:
First degree homicide, part 465(1)(c)
Conspiracy to commit indictable offence, part 235(1)
Martin faces:
First degree homicide, part 235(1)
Kidnapping, part 279(1)(a)
Impede justice, part 139(1) – three counts
Possession of property obtained by crime beneath $5,000, part 354(1)(a) – two counts
The accused are set to make a court docket look in Guelph on Feb. 3. The pair are the fourth and fifth arrests in connection to the case.
In March 2019, Brown was kidnapped from the Harriston Cemetery in Harriston, Ont., north of Elmira.
His physique was discovered the subsequent day by Durham Area Police, north of Whitby on Stevenson Street.
In November 2023, police charged two suspects in reference to the investigation, recognized as Joshua Alexander Drumond, 32, from Edmonton and Steven Jon Walsom-Gerigs, 33, from Brantford.
In June 2024, OPP charged a 30-year-old man from north Wellington, Travis Willard Wand.
