The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police are advising the general public of an elevated police presence in Greenock Township, north of Chepstow, for an ongoing investigation.
OPP say their West Area Emergency Response Staff, West Area Ok-9 Unit, and Aviation Unit responded to an incident on Schmidt Lake Highway simply after 2 p.m. Saturday.
Police didn’t present any particulars in regards to the incident, who was concerned or if anybody was harm.
“Officers interacted with an individual and have now taken that same individual safely into custody,” police mentioned in a media launch. “Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area mentioned above, however, there is no threat to public safety.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing and extra particulars shall be launched as they develop into out there.
