A 28-year-old man is now facing charges of attempted murder after police were called to a stabbing on Tuesday night in the Ottawa and Mill Street area of Kitchener.

Authorities stated that the individuals involved were acquainted, and public safety is not at risk

Waterloo regional police have taken a 28-year-old man from Kitchener into custody on charges of attempted murder following reports of a stabbing Wednesday night.

The officers arrived at a residence in the Ottawa Street and Mill Street area around 8:15 p. m., discovering one man with injuries that were not life-threatening.

He was taken to an out-of-region hospital for treatment.

Authorities mentioned that both men knew each other, assuring there’s no threat to public safety.
