In February 2024, a enterprise in Centre Wellington contacted the Wellington County OPP to advise that that they had misplaced roughly $230,000 to a phishing rip-off.

Cornelius Etah, 39-years-old of Ajax, was charged with:
Fraud over $5,000
Theft over $5,000Possession Property obtained by crime over $5,000 – In Canada

Hamid Oki, 28-years-old of Toronto, was charged with:
