Kitchener, Ont. native Steven Lorentz scored his first aim for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night time.
It ended up being the game-winning aim because the Leafs took down the New Jersey Devils 4-2.
It comes after Lorentz signed a one-year cope with the crew earlier this week.
Following up on the win, Lorentz’s sister shared one among her brother’s yearbook footage with a heartwarming prediction.
“15 years in the past, this 12 months … do not surrender in your desires, youngsters,” the submit reads.
The 28-year-old had a two-point night time within the win and acquired 15:07 of ice time.

The Maple Leafs will host the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday of their residence opener.
