A Kitchener man is going through charges associated to the theft of a number of memorial plaques in Cambridge.
On Oct. 30, staff at a neighborhood enterprise found copper plaques that they believed have been stolen. They then turned them over to Waterloo Regional Police.
An investigation revealed the seven plaques had been taken from benches at Victoria Park Tennis Membership in West Galt.
Police mentioned a 52-year-old Kitchener man was arrested in Cambridge on Wednesday. At the moment, an officer seized one other plaque stolen from the Metropolis of Kitchener.
The person has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property beneath $5,000 and trafficking in stolen items beneath $5,000.
