Some Brant County residents have been quickly moved whereas emergency responders handled a chemical leak close to the Brantford Municipal Airport.
Brant County OPP put out a tweet simply after 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, warning drivers of street closures within the Willowdale Road space close to Kingsmount Crescent and Westview Avenue. The neighbourhood simply east of the airport.
Police say residents in that space have been relocated to the Airport Highway Group Centre.
OPP posted once more at 5:16 p.m., saying the leak had been contained and the roads had reopened.
Right now, it’s not clear what chemical was concerned within the leak, what precipitated the leak, or if there are any environmental considerations.
