A man is currently at large following a shooting in Kitchener that left a 30-year-old with gunshot wounds.
Regional police are searching for a suspect linked to a shooting that took place on Jan. 28 near Scott Street and King Street East. This incident occurred around 9:00 p. m., and the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
On Feb. 10, officers carried out two search warrants in Kitchener, leading to the arrest of two individuals. During their investigation, they identified Siraj Abukar, 30, from Kitchener, who is now wanted on an outstanding warrant related to the gunfire.
He faces several charges including:
Assault with a weapon Aggravated assault Robbery with firearm
Authorities consider him armed and dangerous. They urge anyone who sees him not to approach but to call 911 right away.
