No one was injured in a house fire in Kitchener early Sunday morning.

Kitchener Fire crews responded to a residence on Ahrens Street West, close to Victoria Street North and Weber Street West, at around 1:47 a. m. on Sunday.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation as of Monday morning. Firefighters suspect it started on the covered porch of the house.

Everyone managed to evacuate without incident, with four fire crews dispatched to handle the situation.

Damage is estimated at approximately $400,000.

The Ontario Fire Marshal and Waterloo Regional Police Service are not involved in the investigation into the fire.
