A driver who did not adjust to the pace restrict on Ontario’s busiest freeway ended up with charges for a number of different offences after being stopped close to Napanee this morning.
Within the early morning hours on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, officers with the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver on Freeway 401 “shortly after 5 a.m.,” the detachment stated in a press launch hours later.
In line with the OPP, the motive force, who was stopped close to Larger Napanee, was travelling 40 km/h over the posted pace restrict of 110 km/h, which was just lately elevated by 10 km/h. Within the ensuing investigation, it was decided the motive force was in violation of a number of Freeway Visitors Act and Felony Code, police detailed within the launch.
The L&A OPP stated that, because of this, 26-year-old Ramadan Abdullahi of Maple, Ont. (a neighbourhood in Vaughn within the York Area of the Larger Toronto Space or GTA), was charged with:

In line with police, as a result of Abdullahi was discovered to be failing to adjust to a launch order, the accused driver was held in custody to attend a bail listening to in Napanee later at present.
