A Parham resident is facing charges after members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Team found them driving a vehicle on Road 38 in Parham, despite being prohibited from operating a vehicle.
According to a release from the OPP, the individual, who had previously been ordered by the Ontario Court of Justice not to operate a vehicle of any kind, was located inside a vehicle around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.
“The vehicle was stopped at a residence, and after getting out of the vehicle, the driver was arrested for violating the prohibition. A search of the vehicle by officers located some ammunition inside. The individual was also under prohibition order from the Ontario Court of Justice for weapons and ammunition,” police detailed.
Frank Teal, a 32-year-old male from Parham was charged with:
Operation while prohibited under the criminal code.Failure to comply with probation or order.Two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
Police said that as a result of the investigation, the individual was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on January 10, 2025. The results of the hearing were not disclosed.
Parham is located in Central Frontenac Township, within Frontenac County.
