If “the writ drops” (the election is named) on Wednesday, then a provincial election will happen 28 days later — after 28 days of campaigning — on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025.

At present, the Lanark—Frontenac—Kingston seat in Queen’s Park is held by MPP John Jordan.

Kingstonist will present additional protection of candidates for the provincial election within the KFL&A area because the election attracts nearer — whether it is referred to as later this week.
